18 year-old Yonatan Seals off St George’s Victory over Trans-Ethiopia FC (St George 2-0)
                                                                           By: Solomon Amare

The teen-ager shined once again as St George defied 30C temperatures, a strong wind, and above all a rough pitch in Mekelle yesterday afternoon to secure a well deserved 2-0 win.  Yonatan Birhanu, who is making a colossal contribution to the Champion’s attacking force ever since he made his debut about two months ago, was also the linchpin of this vital win over Trans-Ethiopia.

After a fantastic solo effort he fired home from the edge of the box in the 53rd minute and sealed off another key away win. His breathtaking goal was accompanied by a rapturous standing-ovation from the humble opposition supporters whose sporting behavior is quite exemplary and one that should be emulated by fans and supporters of other clubs.

St George displayed an organized and a tactically disciplined performance where they kept Trans at bay who tried to take advantage of their rough pitch and strong wind which proved a real trial for the visitors.

The champions first goal came in the last minute of the first half when Mohammed, who is in an outstanding goal-scoring form, paced away from his marker to find the goal-keeper and then the net with an un-stoppable goal.
